Fireball-like object spotted in the sky over Dunwoody, GA
My boyfriend and I were relaxing and talking on our balcony around 11:30 pm Saturday night when I noticed an object in the sky. The object was very bright and had a fiery glow; it was oblong and irregular in shape. My initial thought was that a plane or weather balloon was on fire. I pointed the object out to my boyfriend and asked him what it was, but he didn’t know either. The object first appeared in the southwest rising slowly and steadily in an east and upward direction with some wavering; although at times seemed to almost hover. I watched it intently for about 30-60 seconds then ran inside to grab my iPhone. I first recorded it but the object was not showing up well so I switched to camera mode. I took 3 pictures of the object. We watched the object continue to travel upward and eventually disappear.
