Orange fireballs travelling slowly
I was facing North looking at a clear sky. At least a dozen large orange objects travelled from the West towards the East. They were much brighter than the stars, but not dazzlingly bright. The objects looked very low in the sky and were travelling much slower than you would expect a meteorite to travel. It was difficult to judge their height, but from my vantage point they were bellow the Plough constellation. I had time to fetch my son who also saw them, and they were visible for around 15-20 seconds and then disappeared behind trees. They seemed to be travelling horizontally across the sky, not dropping as you would expect from a meteorite. There was no sound at all from them and they did not have any tails, again as you would expect from a meteorite. The objects did not break up at all. There was little or no wind which would rule out Chinese lanterns.
