Five orange sphere, thrree in fomation, one stationary and one moving in a south easterly direction over south hamilton.
On monday 29th October at about 7.00pm I spotted two spherical objects in the night sky. It was a fairly clear night with some issolated clouds and a full moon.
I had just parted from my brother at Peacock Cross in Hamilton, U.K., he had gone to pick up his car from the car park and I had gone to get mine from a side street 50 metres away. As I entered my car my mobile phone rang and my brother asked did I see the orange/red spheres in the sky. I looked up and caught sight of a hellicopter and said it was its flashing light, he said no the three large red spheres in the sky. He then hung up and I got out of my car to have another look.
I looked over towards the car park area above the buildings and seen this large orange object hovering in the sky. I then scanned the sky and observed a second hellicopter approching the sphere from the Motherwell direction. It was moving towards the stationary sphere and moved in really close before veering sharply to the right and following the flight path of the first hellicopter.
As it moved away from the stationary sphere I glance the sky to see if I could spot the first hellicopter that had been moving towards High Blantyre/Blantre(North Westerly roughly). I could not see the the hellicopter but did observe a sphere of similar colour and dimention to the stationary sphere moving across the sky in a south easterly direction (Stathaven/Stonehouse). When I looked back for the hovering sphere it had disappeared.
The spheres appeared to be higher the hellicopters normally are observed in our area but slightly lower than the height aircraft. The sphere seemed fairly large about ten to twenty times the hellicopters.
I did not see the three spheres my brother did but he seen the two spheres that I did five in total. He said the three moved in formation then disappeared into a cloud. the whole incident took place over a three to five minute period. The speed of the moving sphere was approximately that of a commercial aircraft.
