Orb cruises across sky, then disappears
On Sunday night, 23 Sept 2012, at 2242, I saw a light travel across the sky. I was standing outside my front door, having a cigarette (tobacco) and I saw a bright white orb travel from north to south. It was kind of luminescent and perhaps pulsed slowly. I cannot tell the altitude of the object, but to my eye it would have been the size of a golf ball held at arm’s length, probably a bit smaller.
It cruised into sight over the roof, and I saw it move, slowly in a straight line for about 5 seconds, at which point it hovered for a second or two, then just disappeared.
This was seen from the top of Boundary Rd, Papakura, New Zealand.
